At The Vital Roots Foundation Trust, we recognise that the fight against corruption and the push for accountable governance are essential for equitable development. Our mission is to empower local systems, expose misuse of resources, and prepare individuals to stand up for what’s right — peacefully and powerfully.

HOW WE PLAN & IMPLEMENT THIS INITIATIVE

1. Anti-Corruption Training & Action

We train our team members, volunteers, and local leaders to recognise and report corruption. Our actions include:

• Conducting workshops on rights awareness, whistleblower safety, and ethical practices.
• Organising peaceful protests, social awareness marches, and hunger strikes in response to unresolved corruption cases.
• Establishing a helpline and digital reporting platform to document violations.

2. Empowering Local Governance (Panchayati Raj Focus)

Strong governance begins at the grassroots. We work closely with Panchayats to:

• Provide technical and strategic guidance for planning and executing village-level development projects.
• Organise capacity-building programs to enhance the effectiveness and independence of elected local bodies.
• Facilitate access to government grants, tools, and technologies.

3. Ensuring Accountability

To ensure transparency in development efforts:

• We audit and investigate the use of government and non-government grants in minority and rural development.
• Publish public reports that highlight discrepancies and recommend action.
• Advocate for policy reforms to make project spending more transparent.
