At The Vital Roots Foundation Trust, we believe that justice is a right, not a privilege. Legal ignorance, poverty, and discrimination prevent millions from defending themselves. We are committed to ensuring access to legal aid, advocating for fair treatment across all communities, and supporting advocates who uphold justice on the ground.

HOW WE PLAN & IMPLEMENT THIS INITIATIVE

1. Legal Aid for the Underprivileged

We offer free legal representation and support to:

• Innocent prisoners, especially those falsely accused or awaiting trial due to a lack of legal help.
• Marginalised individuals, including victims of caste, gender, or religious discrimination.

We partner with pro bono advocates, law students, and legal NGOs to ensure timely case handling and documentation.

2. Welfare for Advocates

To strengthen the legal aid ecosystem, we are:

• Advocating for the construction of advocate colonies to provide secure housing for legal professionals.
• Proposing a monthly income structure for full-time legal aid providers who assist in our cases and camps.

3. Combating Systemic Injustice

We actively work to:

• Organise legal awareness workshops in slums, rural areas, and minority-dominated regions.
• File public interest litigations (PILs) against systemic discrimination and exploitation.
• Set up helplines and legal literacy drives in high-risk communities.
